The Landmine System (Pt. 2/2)

This week we will we be talking about the different attachments you can get. If you missed it, don’t forget to tune into last weeks feature where we talked about the actual unit itself

In the pictures you’ll see a whole myriad of different attachments to get. Where does one begin?

Well, how about the attachment in the first picture! In my opinion this will be the best $15 you ever spend if you’ve decided you want a landmine system. This sleeve goes on the end of your barbell and allows you to hook up any of your cable attachments to it. This way you can use your t-handle, lat bar, tricep rope, etc. with your landmine unit (that we talked about last week). Instantly you get a ton of different exercises with one small piece!

The one con to this is that, because it’s on a chain, it’ll move a bit, meaning it might not feel as sturdy. Personally I don’t notice this much, but it’s something I’ve seen people comment on

I think for most people, just this piece alone will give them all the functionality that they’re looking for out of their landmine system. That being said, if you’re looking to add from there, I highly recommend the linebacker attachment (3rd picture). You can do squats, cleans, overhead presses, bent over wide grip rows, and more with this one attachment.

Instead of walking through the other attachments, I’ll give some general advice for picking additional ones. Think about if you like doing that exercise (e.g., bent over row) with dumbbells/a machine at the gym. If you do, more than likely you will enjoy doing it on the landmine and get a slightly different pump. If you don’t, then doing it on the landmine probably won’t make you enjoy it anymore.

And there ya have it! It’s not actually an explosive device…, but it sure is deadly when used in the right hands 😉
