With last week’s feature being the Fitness Gear HR|600, it only made since to follow-up with their more accessible price point rack.
The Olympic Bench 600 is designed to be multi-functional, great for a consumer that has a smaller space to work with, shorter ceilings, and/or a smaller budget for their home gym. The bench is bolted to the rack, offering less functionality, yet you can use the backside of the rack for squats, RDLs, overhead presses, etc.
Pros:
-Sturdy design
-Bench is adjustable in height, just like their utility bench, which is great functionality
-Many adjustable height positions for the j-hooks/safety catches
-600lbs weight capacity
Cons:
-The safety catches included are shorter in length than desirable (in my opinion)
-Having a shorter base, it is not as sturdy for squats off the back end (recommendation: put a 45 on the bench itself to give extra stability)
-No plate pegs for weight plate storage, meaning you will need to get a tree as well
All in all, can’t go wrong with this bench if looking for one piece that can do it all!
