The Bosu Ball (Half Ball)

This does look quite odd from a first glance, but don’t judge a book by its cover… or should we?

Philosophical questions aside, I’d say most of my customers would never have a use for this. Why is that? Because unless part of your routine is doing some sort of stability work/you are always trying to incorporate new moves to your routine, this piece of equipment does not fit into most peoples normal programming (and it’s quite awkward to store).

Now, that being said, I think this is a great piece of equipment and is an excellent challenge for your stabilizer muscles. What you do is put the ball end down and then can hold the handles on the side. You can then do push-ups, mountain climbers, put your elbows down to do planks, etc. you can even stand on it and work on holding yourself steady, doing double or single leg squats, and more!

There aren’t many other options for equipment that does this kind of activity so it’s less of a “is this the right quality/brand for this kind of equipment?” question and more of a “is this kind of equipment something I want to/will use ?”

If after reading this you find yourself saying you’d like to try but it’s not a big deal/interest, I’d recommend looking for a used one and spending ~$30 on it. At that price you’re getting great savings and if you don’t like it you can very easily resell (we sell them for $40, as a reference).
